Soft respec is a feature added with Useful Companions 0.4.5 that allows you in certain condition to get back previously spent focus or attribute points.
How it works[edit]
You can talk to your companions and selecting "I think you need to focus on different skills" will automatically give back focus and attribute points to that character that are not locked by skills yet. To know if a focus or attribute is locked, simply check if after returning it, if character will still be able to progress in this skill that means the focus or attribute point is not locked and can be returned.
Technical information[edit]
The calculation to detect if a focus or attribute point is locked or not is currently inaccurate and really safe, it means some point that shouldn't be locked are. In the future the calculation method will be made more accurate and this issue will likely vanish with time.
